Parody Rome Depot by Jeffrey Miller August 19, 2004 written by Jeffrey Miller August 19, 2004 I have a new parody page up here. Credit goes to RC of Catholic Light for emailing me with the idea for a parody along this line. My previous parody page called Avazon.com can be found here. 12 comments 0 FacebookTwitterGoogle +Pinterest Jeffrey Miller previous post Maria Stein Center next post Parody News You may also like Baby Augustine March 5, 2008 News of the World March 22, 2010 LCWR denounces arrest of Pope’s valet May 27, 2012 Social Networking for Prayers November 13, 2012 Jesuits for Peace March 5, 2003 Products as metaphors January 29, 2006 Edward Tracts February 8, 2007 Could it be … February 20, 2007 Bishop Williamson's film review archives March 12, 2008 Theology your way December 18, 2005 12 comments Christine August 16, 2004 - 3:47 pm Hah! I love it! Reply victor August 16, 2004 - 10:10 pm Classic! Reply Mary August 18, 2004 - 9:14 pm Didn’t care for the Jesus hammer. BTW, it’s prie-dieu. Reply DeepSubmerge August 19, 2004 - 8:41 am Hi, Fr. Steve- Great site; and as Mary said, it’s prie-dieu. 😉 But I’d like to request that your store carry a few items: 1) The Church Architect’s Compass – something that points towards liturgical East. 2) Lavabo(tm) Brand Hand Soap – Fresh Lemon Scent – For special use in getting oils off of the hands 3) A large-scale thurible, maybe something like a smoke machine, that can fill a room, nave, or the Grand Canyon with visible prayers! Please let me know on product availability. Thanks! -DS Reply Kelly Clark August 20, 2004 - 6:51 pm Beautiful! As one who has spent far more time at the ol’ Home Depot (duct tape DOES tend to go quickly, doesn’t it?) I deeply appreciated this and the laughter it brought me. Another great one, Jeff! Reply St. Stephen's Used Catholic Books August 25, 2004 - 11:10 am As a seller of used Catholic books and church goods, I am all excited about the possibilities. I can hardly wait till some of these items begin showing up in the lots we buy from churches so we can stock them in our shop. Not sure where we will put the pope-mobile forklift, but we will make room somewhere. The thurible and holy water sprayer are just what we need. I know our customers would love them. People are always saying to us, “Yes, that is a nice holy water sprinkler, but so wimpy. Don’t you have anything really serious?” Sell a lot so that eventually they will wind up second-hand with us. Reply Margarita Kanavy April 2, 2005 - 9:31 am I need to know the history of a cross I recently bought in Rome: it has the Px symbol with alpha and omega on each side. I was told it was the Pope’s cross??? what does that mean? when was it designated such? Thanks very much! Reply Ernesto Pineyro March 5, 2006 - 10:04 pm Could you install a tv camera on the ostensorium, mostrance or custody? this is good for paranoics and for those that beleive that the eye of God is always watching!
