Bush did not go to Vietnam and got a cushy assignment and did not even fulfill his obligations, but took the safe political position of supporting the war but did nothing about it. Kerry’s position has been proven to be the correct choice. The sooner we got out of Vietnam, the fewer lives that were lost. Vietnam lost an estimated 1.4 million people during the war and showed no signs of giving in. And, I know they were evil Communists. Compare and contrast Bush and Kerry. Reply Jeff Miller February 13, 2004 - 5:44 pm No problem contrasting. Kerry supports the murder of the 40 million who have died in abortion. Kerry lied about his fellow soldiers and testified against them. Kerry voted against every major weapon system in use today. Kerry wanted to do away with the CIA. I myself am retired Navy and don’t want a commander in chief willing to lie about soldiers to help in his political ambitions. Bush served honorably in the National Guard regardless of the inept talking points of the Dimocratic left. Bush never came out against those who have served.
