Worshippers attending Impact Community Church in south Sacramento will see an unusual baby dedication Sunday morning.
It will happen at the 11:15 a.m. service. At that time, a member who is 20 weeks pregnant will have a 3-D sonogram in the middle of worship services. The results will be projected on a large screen for everyone in the congregation to see.
“We want to show how beautiful life is — even at 20 weeks,” pastor Barry Smith says.
The event is being held in advance of the annual Sanctity of Life Day, which is Jan. 18. “This is not a political event … it will just be a celebration of life,” Smith says.
