(CNSNews.com) – Political watchdogs say Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry’s campaign website contest – where donors contributing a minimum of $25 are entered for a chance to win a day campaigning with the candidate – is really an effort at playing catch-up with web-savvy former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, another 2004 candidate.
“Dean has done a better job than any other major candidate since the dawn of the Internet,” Larry Sabato, University of Virginia political science professor, told CNSNews.com.
Sabato said other two recent candidates who used the Internet to their advantage were former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura and Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain. He explained that Kerry was a “Johnny come-lately” to website politicking, as were all other Democratic candidates except for Dean.
I propose that the winner gets to sing onstage with John Kerry and they can call it Kerryokie.
