The House will now consider legislation that would require
a physician to offer to show a woman an ultrasound image of her unborn child
before performing an abortion.
Senator Bobby Glover of Carlisle sponsored the abortion bill that would require
physicians to inform the woman that she has the right to view the ultrasound
image of her unborn child before an abortion is performed.
It would require the physician to certify in writing that the woman was offered
the opportunity, and to obtain the woman’s acceptance or rejection of the offer
Failure to inform the woman of her right to see the ultrasound would subject
the physician to disciplinary action by the state Medical Board.
Senator Sue Madison of Fayetteville says the measure is unnecessary, calling
it an extra impediment put in the way of a woman seeking a legal abortion.
The bill passed, 24-7, and heads to the House.
Asking a woman if she wants to view a picture is an extra impediment?
Again pro-choices are against a women’s right to choose. In the latest Envoy
Magazine in the insert there was a story about a woman asking to be able
to see the ultrasound picture after it was done, she was refused. These abortion doctors
are already performing ultrasounds to be able to determine the correct execution
technique to use on the unborn. How can the so-called doctor asking
the woman if she want’s to view the ultrasound picture be an impediment? Well,
maybe it is an impediment. It is an impediment to truth by maintaining the
lie about the baby only being a tissue mass, blob of tissue, or reducing it
to a product of conception.
