Kerry is Catholic, but reserves the right to disagree with the church’s teachings, and make Senate votes and policy decisions based on that disagreement. To me, that’s obviously wrong. It’s wanting to have one’s cake and eat it too. It’s wanting to work both sides of the street, to be a good Catholic, and yet not be seen to be the Pope’s puppet. I believe Kerry is just waiting for the Pope to rebuke him so he can play the victim. Reply Donna Marie Lewis March 29, 2004 - 3:20 pm Thank you! This is going right at the top of my blog ! Reply Otto Clemson Hiss March 29, 2004 - 3:42 pm Spectacular! It’s much better than the ads that Blogger usually flies above my page. Reply Elena March 29, 2004 - 6:05 pm Oh Goodie- I needed something to replace the Dean/Moloch banner!! This one is even better! Reply Josiah March 29, 2004 - 7:32 pm Fantastic ad, probably violates McCain-Feingold though. Reply Sulpicius Severus March 30, 2004 - 9:49 am Excellent. If you add in a shot of Bp. O’Malley (“Lord, is this one of your shepherds?” could be the caption), and possibly a Vatican II modernist presbyter giving Kerry “Holy Communion” (Drudge, see if you can dig that one up!), it’s a keeper. UIOGD, Reply bobbi March 31, 2004 - 2:44 pm Thanks, Jeff! I posted it to my blog as well. Reply Sheryl D March 31, 2004 - 4:50 pm Great banner, Jeff! Kerry looks like he’s trying to shove down the woman (?his wife) in front of him when he’s leaving Mass though.
