Please pray for Fr. Jaki who is still in the ICU in Madrid and likely to die soon since they are unable to operate on him.
Update: Fr. Stanley Jaki died this afternoon in Spain. R.I.P. Having read some of his books I will certainly miss him as a writer on science and theology. I really enjoyed his book “Science & Creation, from eternal cycles to an oscillating universe.” whose title might sound off-putting, but is really a fascinating history of science that explores why so man cultures never developed the scientific method.

Is this Fr. Stanley L. Jaki?
Praying for him.
I had the privilege of hearing him speak once, at a college I was attending. In the middle of the speech, which was in a library building, he referenced some giant of the past, paused, asked if we had this person there in the library, spent several minutes searching the shelves with the assistance of a professor and some other students, found the book he was looking for, held it up triumphantly pronouncing the author’s name…and then resumed the speech from the point where he’d stopped.
The memory of that moment, that speech, and that glimpse of the mind of a truly brilliant man makes me smile. Heavenly Father, receive your servant Fr. Jaki and grant to him the grace of a benevolent death, swiftly ushering him into Thy Holy Presence.
My prayers go out to him!
Praying.
What happened to him? An accident? A heart attack? This is the first I’ve heard about it.
