Sisters in Habits Headed to Va. School is the title of a
Washington Post article on the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia (Nashville Dominicans) starting a new school in the Diocese of Arlington. “Buzzworthy Sisters” might not be the greatest article title, but the article itself is really quite good and quite positive. I might have a few quibbles here and there on some things, but overall it is really quite amazing how much positive portrayals the Nashville Dominicans have been consistently getting from the mainstream press.

Thanks, St. Dominic!
Great article! And the author actually has done enough interviewing to figure out that the reason for the orders’ growth is its back to basics approach– orthodox doctrine, clear mission of self-giving service, recognizable habits, traditional piety, etc.
Based on the headline, at first I thought it was going to be about the sisters all having buzz cuts under their veils or something… 🙂
Sisters, we need you here on Long Island, Arlington already has wonderful Catholic schools.
