I like this tag line from Veritas nunquam perit
I am a seminarian for the Memphis Diocese of the First Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Unreformed–Roman Assembly, and attend St. Meinrad School of Theology in Indiana.
This reminds me of the naming of Catholic Apologist John Martignoni’s apostolate called Bible Christian Society.
Update: Judging by the comments some people did not realize that the seminarian is truly a Catholic seminarian and that “First Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Unreformed–Roman Assembly” is a parody based on Protestant church names, but if you look at it closely will realize that this is truly an accurate discription.

Very good – ever notice that most of the various other forms of Christianity actually have names which correctly belong to Catholicism?
For example, just to start:
We are “Episcopal” (for we have bishops)
We are “Presbyterian” (for we have priests = presbyters)
We are the “united Church of Christ” (for we are ONE, holy, catholic, apostolic)
We are “baptists” (for we admit solely through baptism)
We are “evangelicals” (for we believe the gospel = evangelium, read it, preach it, practice it)
But this is to be expected, for we are “catholic”! (universal) and will be all those things at once.
Does this church even exist? and why does he identify himself as a Catholic seminarian?
And is this a Roman Catholic seminary?
A very close friend of mine (+RIP, unfortunately) was a student at St Meinrad’s prep-seminary back in the early 1960’s.
FWIW, he mentioned that students who displayed ANY sort of homosexual tendencies were literally escorted from campus, (forever,) with bag and baggage, in less than 1 hour from the time the suspicion was present.
At that time, it was a Catholic seminary…
Saint Meinrad is very much a Catholic seminary and is one of the finest in the country. Bishops and vocation directors are realizing that Saint Meinrad prodcues well-balanced, pastoral, pro-life, and on fire for the faith priests.
I like it!!!
I know Dennis. He’s going to be a very good CATHOLIC priest, with a very good sense of humor. Lighten up people.
It reminds me of one of the funniest appellations of an ecclesial community I’ve run across, namely “The Halleluia Bandwagon Church of the Full Gospel.” I wonder what THEIR services are like!
Thanks for the nod. Those who don’t get it need to realize that I live in the anti-catholic buckle of the Bible Belt, Memphis is protestant headquarters, First Apostolic Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ Unreformed–Roman Assembly, is basically an extremely fun way to mess with some heads. I am an orthodox Roman Catholic, I promise.
St. Meinrad may be okay now, but maybe you should look back to the 80’s.. YIKES!! A priest friend that went there todl me that 5 of his teachers have been arrested for child pronography… including his moral theology teacher :S .. I hear good things about it now.
