A reader asked me my opinion about Planned Barrenhood’s latest flash animation Choice Chick. I saw the link to it at the Corner the other day and figured it was just as lame as their last efforts. Well I watched it and found what it didn’t say more interesting. Here is the largest abortion provider in the country and yet in a three minute animation they could not mention abortion once. Maybe this word is like krytonite to their super heroine Choice Chick. Scenes of her flying in and giving a condom to a couple in bed, but no scenes of what goes on in their abortion clinics.
Then there are the silly lines like "Choice has never know an enemy this diabolical." while showing the President. What I thought was amazing is the scene of Choice Chick, John Kerry, and John Edwards flying in to save choice. I wonder what John "life begins at conception" Kerry thinks about his being prominently featured in an abortion propaganda animation?
I’m sure John “I have a deep personal faith which provides me with bedrock values and guides me but not to the extent where that would violate the ‘separation of church and state’ or anything but which I can’t help but bring to table except for each and every time I have to vote on something” Kerry is real broken up over this abuse of his good name:
What’s most disturbing to me, apart from this video (which I haven’t seen and don’t intend to) is the quality of the material Planned Barrenhood puts out. I mean, aesthetically. Look at their website, and especially the TeenWire website. These are some of the most impressive website formats out there, and the design of TeenWire is a dream come true (or in this case, a nightmare) in catering to young teens. They’re accessories to murder through and through, but can you imagine an adolescent teenager spending hours surfing through this website? If prolifers want to match their impact on the culture, we’ve got to start matching the quality of their product.
