2477. “Respect for the reputation of persons forbids

\nwithout sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor; – of detraction
\nwho, without objectively valid reason, discloses another’s faults and failings
\nto persons who did not know them;[Cf. Sir 21:28 .] – of calumny who, by remarks
\ncontrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for
\nfalse judgments concerning them.” –Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/font><\/p>\n

I usually try to avoid Cardinal-cussing and Bishop-bashing but this releasing
\nof the list by Cardinal Keeler is imprudent at the least and is probably
\ndetraction. I know it is difficult to ensure that Catholic truth is taught in
\nthe schools, seminaries and universities and to guide the flock that you are
\nresponsible for, but it seems rather Clintonesque to just release a list of
\npeople who have been accused without a full investigation of the facts. So here
\nis a song I made up to release my anger a bit.<\/p>\n
