As a<br \/>\nlawyer and a doctor he can sue himself for malpractice and then represent<br \/>\nhimself.<\/font><\/font> At one point in time I was probably very much like him.<br \/>\nOnce when I heard on the radio, back in the 70s, that less people were going to<br \/>\nchurch; I rejoiced and thought how wonderful it was that people were giving up<br \/>\ntheir superstitions and coming into the age of reason. I was a evangelical<br \/>\natheist in that I wanted everyone to have belief in unbelief. Only problem was<br \/>\nthat over time I found that everyone I respected was a theist and those that I<br \/>\ndid not respect were either not theists or very lukewarm ones. It was very<br \/>\ndisconcerting when I discovered that the values I came to embrace were also the<br \/>\nvery same values of the so-called Christian right. I mean, how could these<br \/>\nignorant rubes come to the same conclusion as me on morality and culture. I<br \/>\ndidn&#8217;t know at the time that the very values and morality I held dear was built<br \/>\non a Christian foundation and could never have been based on atheist-materialist<br \/>\nfoundation that I professed belief in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael A.
