But seriously, why is it that people are always trying to make out<br \/>\nthat St. John the Baptist was an Essene?<\/p>\n<p>St. John Vianney the Cure&#8217; d&#8217;Ars<br \/>\nwas trying to stop the dances that the young people of the village were engaging<br \/>\nin and so he hung a sign around the statue of St. John the Baptist which read<br \/>\n&#8220;He lost his head over a dance&#8221;.
