\nET) — If some Michigan residents have their way, Ted Nugent will be running for
\ngovernor of the state in 2006.
<\/font><\/p>\n

Following the recent election of Jennifer Granholm as
\nMichigan governor, radio station WOOD-AM in Grand Rapids asked its listeners who
\nthey’d like to see oppose her in four years. The survey is still going on, but
\nNugent has been named in about 90 percent of the responses every day, beating
\nout others such as speaker of the Michigan House Rick Johnson and former
\nLieutenant Governor Dick Posthumus.

The singer-guitarist issued this statement to LAUNCH,
\n“I’ve always taken my ‘We The People’ obligations to heart as an activist
\nAmerican for quality of life upgrade. I’ve got three years to think about it,
\nbut there is no doubt the status quo needs to be tipped on its bureaucratic ass.
\nI’m definitely the guy for that job.”

In a further statement, Nugent said, “I’m flattered that
\nthe Michigan citizenry grasps my sincerity. I have always celebrated my ‘We The
\nPeople’ activism. Maybe it’s time to take it to the next level. The status quo
\nsystem of politics sucks. Maybe it’s time for an upheaval. Call me Ted
\n‘Upheaval’ Nugent. We’ll see what happens.”<\/font>

Might be a good choice to cure the governments stranglehold<\/a> or to rid the state of Cat
\nScratch Fever<\/a>. I have seen him in concert a couple of times and have an
\nautographed poster of his and I am sure he would be a real pain in the neck to
\nmost liberals with his hunting advocacy and in-your-face conservatism. He is
\nmostly pro-life except for in the case of incest and life of the mother, which
\nis too bad since a 100 percent pro-life gonzo conservative would have been
