{"id":8274,"date":"2003-04-22T23:51:41","date_gmt":"2003-04-23T04:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2003\/04\/22\/not-the-apostles-creed-2\/"},"modified":"2003-04-22T23:51:41","modified_gmt":"2003-04-23T04:51:41","slug":"not-the-apostles-creed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2003\/04\/not-the-apostles-creed-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Not the Apostles Creed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"articles\">CHICAGO (AFP) &#8211; Their albums may have gone platinum but a concert by popsters Creed left some fans distinctly unimpressed &#8212; so much so they sued for a refund. <\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">Four fans that attended a December 2002 concert by Creed outside Chicago filed a class action lawsuit in circuit court here Monday seeking two million dollars in damages from the band, its promoters, and the ticket-sellers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">The disgruntled concertgoers allege in court papers that the band&#8217;s lead singer Scott Stapp was so &#8220;intoxicated and\/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed song.&#8221; <br \/>\n[<a href=\"http:\/\/story.news.yahoo.com\/news?tmpl=story2&#038;u=\/afp\/20030422\/od_afp\/us_music_offbeat_030422221501&#038;e=3\">Full Story<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">How shocking, a rock band on drugs and\/or alcohol.  Who would have this day would ever come about.  In the old days drugged out and inebriated bands could still make it all the way through the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">Actually I enjoy Creed and their quasi-Christian lyrics.  I believe that their singer is a PK (Preachers Kid) and I think it is mandatory that they act up.
