{"id":7471,"date":"2003-12-18T13:09:08","date_gmt":"2003-12-18T18:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2003\/12\/18\/on-christs-shoulders\/"},"modified":"2003-12-18T13:09:08","modified_gmt":"2003-12-18T18:09:08","slug":"on-christs-shoulders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2003\/12\/on-christs-shoulders\/","title":{"rendered":"On Christ&#039;s Shoulders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post\"><font color=\"#FF0000\">Warning<\/font>: Self-indulgent poetry ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">In sin wandering in the pasteur forever just to roam<br \/>\nI couldn&#8217;t possibly be lost since I had no true home<br \/>\nA sheep on it&#8217;s own that didn&#8217;t believe in a shepherd<br \/>\nThe thought of a creator in this rational age, absurd<br \/>\nI saw the world as both beautiful and wondrous<br \/>\nSaw it&#8217;s cause as mind-numbing randomness and chaos<br \/>\nThis I knew to be a strangely curious disconnect<br \/>\nBut that there could be a God I did totally reject<br \/>\nSelf-sufficient I was and yet knowing I was not<br \/>\nRead more books on atheism and against you I fought<br \/>\nI denied you, ignored you, and renounced you again<br \/>\nThen a dark blurry shape appeared on my horizon<br \/>\nAn eternal loving creator, what if it was true<br \/>\nNo it just couldn&#8217;t be, back to my books I flew<br \/>\nYou still came anyway, picked me up and lifted me<br \/>\nOnto your shoulders, a new view with faith to see<br \/>\nI was lost deep in my philosophy and totally astray<br \/>\nYou left the other ninety-nine to show me the way<br \/>\nIt is true I refused to see and was totally blind<br \/>\nHelp me to love you with all my heart, soul, and mind<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Warning: Self-indulgent poetry ahead.
