How many Masses have you been to where afterwords the people just sat in their pews making no noise?<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">The Sacrifice of the Mass is more than just the Last Supper represented.  The Last Supper was ratified at Calvary.  We have Holy Week condensed and given to us sacramentally in the Mass.  Even though The Passion of the Christ is an excellent film, how much more should we be in awe and repentance as we hear &#8220;this is my body&#8230;&#8221; and we receive Jesus Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the Eucharist?\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">Relatedly, I really enjoyed this truism in <a href=\"http:\/\/poncer.blogspot.com\/2004_02_01_poncer_archive.html#107802288278583170\" target=\"_blank\">T.S. O&#8217;Rama&#8217;s<\/a> review of the TPotC.  &#8220;The movie has an aspect of &#8220;preaching to the choir&#8221;, but the choir is always in need of preaching.&#8221;  Also highly worthwhile is SecretAgentMan&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/secret-agent.blogspot.com\/2004_02_01_secret-agent_archive.html#107808497579771185\" target=\"_blank\">Thoughts on the Passion.<\/a>  Dale Price has some interesting thoughts on the Passion as well in a post titled simply <a href=\"http:\/\/dprice.blogspot.com\/\">The Film<\/a>.  Mark Shea also weighs in <a href=\"http:\/\/markshea.blogspot.com\/2004_02_01_markshea_archive.html#107810244134717345\">here<\/a>.
