For those who keep singing the joys of national healthcare –
\nCaptain’s Quarters<\/strong> reports.<\/p>\n

The Manchester Guardian reports on a family’s struggle against Britain’s National
\nHealth Service to keep their daughter alive. The NHS has decided that Charlotte
\nWyatt, an eleven-month-old preemie, will never be able to recover from the
\ncomplications of her birth and want to force
\na do-not-resuscitate<\/a> order onto
\nher parents:<\/p>\n

The parents of baby Charlotte Wyatt are expected to hear this afternoon whether
\na high court judge has supported their case for their daughter’s right to life.<\/p>\n

Darren and Debbie Wyatt from Portsmouth tried to convince Mr Justice Hedley
\nthat their 11-month-old child has a right to life. They argued their daughter
\nshould be provided with every aspect of medical care available.<\/p>\n

Charlotte was born three months premature, weighing only 1lb and measuring
\nfive inches. She has already stopped breathing three times due to serious heart
\nand lung problems; she is fed through a tube because she cannot suck from a
\nbottle and she needs a constant supply of oxygen.<\/p>\n

Portsmouth hospitals NHS trust argues that resuscitating Charlotte again
\nwould lead to further damage to her lungs and cause her further suffering.
\nIt has asked the court for an order allowing its doctors not to ventilate her
\nagain if she has life-threatening breathing difficulties.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is no surprise that when limited money interacts with increasing
\nhealth care demands that the sanctity of the government fund beats out the
\nsanctity of life every time. History only repeats itself here. When Germany’s
\nNational Socialist (Nazi) Party brought about national healthcare that the
\nfirst to
\ndie for this plan was the elderly through euthanasia. Then those with birth
\ndefects or who were judged incurably ill were next. Their experience with gas
\nchambers started with these people.<\/p>\n

In these cases the government always gets
\nto decide who is worth saving and who is not. Life is fine just as long as
\nit doesn’t eat up much needed money for healthier people. Of course these types
\nof examples only elicit comments such as we would do it better and it wouldn’t
\nhappen here. The people in England, Canada, and many European nations all said
\nthe same thing – that they would do it better. This is the same mind set of
\nthose who have seen socialism fail in every part of
\nthe
\nworld
