Even though it didn&#8217;t look like Frances would cause much problems in Jacksonville, the weather has turned out pretty windy and nasty. The Vigil Mass was packed so it looks like we weren&#8217;t the only ones with this idea. The lines to confession were also rather long so it appears they used the same Hurricane checklist that I do. One thing that I absolutely love about our pastor is that he will hear confession as long as there is a line, even if he has to delay the start of Mass. The prelude for the entrance hymn was played for about 15 minutes while the last of the confessions were heard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">There were long lines at places like Lowe&#8217;s and Home Depot, but that didn&#8217;t really affect me. Most people seemed to be concerned about canned food and water in case of power outages. I seem to have different priorities. In case of loss of power I ensure that I have enough books and batteries with replacement bulbs for my book light.
