Since opening the Curt Jester site on 9 Feb 2003 I have now gone over a million hits<\/a> on my site. 3774 posts and 18129 comments so far. This does not include the six months before that that I had started my first blog Atheist to a Theist. But then again I now get more traffic in a week than I did in the six months of that blog. Though I still fondly remember the initial ten visitors of day I was getting and being happy that anybody was reading what I was writing. I also remember my first thrill of being linked to by Mark Shea with my Litany of Blog Humility<\/a>, especially since it was his blog that both introduced me to St. Blogs and inspired me to move from being a blog commenter to a blogger. I would like to thank both my readers and fellow bloggers who have either blogrolled me or pointed to my posts. Especially commenters who have often entertained or informed me.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I still find it amazing that I am even writing a Catholic blog. Though I am quite thankful for God’s providence that I entered blogging after my conversion and that the medium was not around when I was still an atheist. It would have been quite annoying to have some of my previous beliefs stacked in one and zeros on some hard drive somewhere archived for who knows how long. Even worse if I had been blogging during my Ayn Rand phase – God is merciful indeed. Though I often find it ironic for someone who had zero aspiration for writing and could hardly draw anything on his own would end up spending so much time both writing and working in graphic programs.<\/p>\n

So a million hits is not bad for a blog started by just another unknown Catholic convert with a propensity for puns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
