A religious organization in Lexington wants to help young people realize their calling to service.<\/p>\n

The Catholic Diocese of Lexington has a unique way of attracting teens and young adults to become better people.<\/p>\n

They decided to reach out to a younger crowd through an advertisement campaign. Commercials calling people to live a life of service are being shown before movies at Regal Cinemas in Hamburg, they are being played on several Lexington radio stations, and they can be seen on the Diocese’s website: http:\/\/www.ichoseyou.com.<\/p>\n

They have already received positive response from their website and the commercials started playing at the movies and on the radio this week.<\/span>
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

The video and radio spots<\/a> are pretty generic and not specifically Catholic, but the website is not to bad. I really liked the introduction by Bishop Granier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My prayer is that this web page can offer you the direction you need to discern which vocation God is calling you to live out in this life. I invite you to explore this site and to interact with others who are also discerning and let the Holy Spirit lead you.<\/p>\n

Overall their site is a positive effort with some good information. The only real caveats I have are their links to the National Catholic Reporter and Saint Anthony’s Messenger and the fact that two of their spiritual advisors are from a typical modern Benedictine community. <\/p>\n

On a side note one link for people wanting to be an "alternative Catholic" had this on the web page<\/a>.<\/p>\n
