{"id":3712,"date":"2007-08-01T12:11:52","date_gmt":"2007-08-01T17:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2007\/08\/01\/what-are-you-in-for\/"},"modified":"2007-08-01T12:11:52","modified_gmt":"2007-08-01T17:11:52","slug":"what-are-you-in-for","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2007\/08\/what-are-you-in-for\/","title":{"rendered":"What are you in for?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"bi\">Two nuns in India&#8217;s Mayurbhanj district were arrested on Saturday for allegedly making two non-Christian girls sing hymns in praise of Christ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">The arrests were made after complaints from the students of a Catholic residential school &#8211; Sarojini Murmu, 12, and Anjana Behera, 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">The students reported that they were compelled to sing hymns and participate in prayers against their will.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">The nuns were booked under Sections 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 (forcibly attempting conversion) of the Orissa Freedom of Religion Act.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">After the arrests, Fr Isaac of the Catholic Diocese in Balasore rushed to Mayurbhanhj in support of the nuns.
