\nincendiary comments, surprised a Chicago congregation by attending an
\nevent to celebrate poet Maya Angelou\ufffds birthday.<\/p>\n
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright got a raucous standing ovation when he entered
\nSaint Sabina church on the city\ufffds South Side on Friday night, according
\nto video from WBBM-TV. Members yelled \ufffdHallelujah!\ufffd as Wright embraced
\nthe Rev. Michael Pfleger, Saint Sabina\ufffds pastor.<\/p>\n
The smiling Wright accepted an invitation to give the benediction at
\nthe Roman Catholic church but did not address the furor over his past
\nsermons. He also sang \ufffdHappy Birthday\ufffd to Angelou, whose birthday is
\nApril 4.<\/p>\n
Well at least this wasn’t a Mass this occured in. I guess Fr.
\nPfleger is consistent since he has previously had one of Wright’s
\nheroes and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan as a guest before also.
\n So I guess inviting a pastor who is willing to reprint
\nwritings from a Hamas terrorist in his bulletin ands said “The
\ngovernment lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide
\nagainst people of color” Fr. Pfleger as public Obama supporter
\nfinds no problems giving this preacher of hatred a forum. People like
\nto say that Wright’s sermons were cherry-picked, and they were in fact
\ncherry-picked since his church included Wright’s inflammatory sermons
\nin a sort of best of DVD in the first place.<\/p>\n
