LarryD on 10 New Names For The NCReporter<\/a><\/p>\n

In his most recent column published in the diocesan paper, The Catholic Key<\/a>, Bishop Finn of Kansas City has stated in no uncertain terms that the National Catholic Reporter should not be calling itself Catholic. I encourage you to read it if you haven\u2019t already. It\u2019s excellent stuff.<\/p>\n

Now, they won\u2019t be obeying Bishop Finn any time soon, but still, if by chance they come to their senses and do the right thing, they\u2019re gonna need a new name.<\/p>\n

And guess what \u2013 I have 10 suggestions (of course I do, right?)<\/p>\n

  1. The Nullified Conscience Reporter<\/li>\n
  2. The Midwest Journal of Religious Emasculation<\/li>\n
  3. Theological Masturbation & Review<\/li>\n
  4. Screw You, Rome Reports<\/li>\n
  5. New Age Apostate & Chronicle<\/li>\n
  6. The Weakly Faith Weekly<\/li>\n
  7. The Apostolic Underminer<\/li>\n
  8. The Sixth Circle Times-Union<\/li>\n
  9. The Poor Man\u2019s Unitarian Almanac<\/li>\n
  10. Heretic Herald & Heritage<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Got any other suggestions?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Well here are a couple.<\/p>\n

    • Itching Ears Weekly<\/li>\n
    • National Tares and Chaff Reporter<\/li>\n
    • Heretic\u2019s R Us<\/li>\n
    • The New Sodom Times<\/li>\n
    • National Compost<\/li>\n
    • False Christianity Today<\/li>\n
    • White Washed Tomb Times<\/li>\n
    • Apostolic Editorial Board (at least that seems to be how they see themselves)<\/li>\n
    • Dissent of Man<\/li>\n
    • Reverse Tardis Times (The ideas are even smaller than they appear on the outside)<\/li>\n
    • Fishwrap (Really Father\u2019s Z\u2019s description fits the best)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Really it would be nice to not confuse \u201cNational Catholic\u201d \u2014 \u201cReporter\u201d and \u201cRegister\u201d. To have to differentiate between the good NCR and the bad NCR.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
