You can also get the Parallels upgrade or "competitive upgrade" for 49.99. This mean s if you own a copy of the previous version or a copy of VMWare you qualify for the lower price. I owned VMWare, but I went with the MacUpdates bundle myself. Why not get all that other software too.

Now having both on my MBP, I've run the exact same image in both. It's a demo VMWare image I get through work that I converted for use by Parallels.I have to say Parallels blows VMWare out of the water.

If we can get some real usage from OpenCL this will be big. [My peers are already hard at work making sure the next gen smart phone chips will support OpenCL.] One area where I could see it making a big difference is in apps like HandBrake or iDVD/iMovie. With OpenCL the amount of data individuals can crunch in popular "spare cycle" apps like Folding@Home and Seti@Home could skyrocket.

I disagree I think SL should have been free. You can argue that Apple spent a lot of time developing it. But I think they took more out then they put in. Microsoft does countless of heavier softpacs for its OS for free. Just the fact Apple could not justify its usual $130 bucks is admitting that Snow Leopard was a refresh. This screams iPod Touch 3.0 which Apple also charged a minimum fee for. Sure Apple said they "Had" to charge something. Well of course they do. Apple charges for everything. I think Apple could have really yanked Microsoft by at least allowing a free Snow leopard upgrade online to all Leopard user's.

Jeff, I'm with you on this. Sometimes I think Leo remakes himself for whatever audience he's addressing. The TwiT and Tech Live audiences are mainly PC geeks and so he's comfortable being the cranky Windows guy with them. This is especially true when he's on any show with John C. Dvorak. I'm curious how he'll spin it on MacBreak Weekly.

What annoys me is that Leo and the other MacBreak guys went over Snow Leopard in detail not just once but several times ever since WWDC. None of this should have been a surprise. I thought he had agreed with Andy Ihnatko and Alex Lindsay that the $29 price was an acknowledgement by Apple that this was a relatively feature-free release paving the way for big stuff in future OS's, especially considering Windows' ridiculous and varied price tags.

You can add a new row to a table in the Mac app by going to the last cell in a table and pressing the 'Tab' key.

Found your post trying to figure out the same thing (I use Evernote on the Mac). Discovered that going to the web version allowed me to fully modify tables. Hope they implement that in the standalone versions soon.

While I fall into the camp that says most people can't really justify a Kindle by claiming it will save money... it is true that I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of not-in-the-public-domain books that I get for free. There's obviously Baen, but even beyond that a digital ton of books come your way as part of promotions either by Amazon or individual authors/publishers.

A few examples:
