John 19:25-27
So the soldiers did this. But standing by the cross of Jesus
\nwere his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary
\nMag’dalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing
\nnear, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the
\ndisciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his
\nown home.<\/p>\n
Holy Mother of God,
hear the prayers of the Church
for all
\nmothers,
especially those wearied by life
and overcome by the
\nsuffering
they bear for their children.
Hail Mary…<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
intercede for them
from your place in
\nheaven,
that the mercy of your divine Son
might lighten their
\nburden
and give them strength.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
