{"id":8083,"date":"2003-08-13T13:11:49","date_gmt":"2003-08-13T18:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2003\/08\/13\/cheesus-we-trust-in-you\/"},"modified":"2003-08-13T13:11:49","modified_gmt":"2003-08-13T18:11:49","slug":"cheesus-we-trust-in-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2003\/08\/cheesus-we-trust-in-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheesus we trust in you"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post\">Yesterday in Karl Keating&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholic.com\/newsletters.asp\">weekly email<\/a> he discussed a group called the Artotyritae. <\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">What little we know about them comes from Augustine, who remarked that their most peculiar doctrine&#8211;their variant of the Eucharist&#8211;was a sacrament in bread and cheese.<\/p>\n<p class=\"post\">All that I can say is I am certainly glad that the sacramental elements are not bread with cheese.  We have enough cheesy hymns as it is without having to sing &#8220;I am the brie of life.&#8221;  Instead of intinction we might have had some sort of holy fondue and I could have a nightmare over thinking about Extraordinarily Eucharistic Ministers distributing communion via consecrated Cheese Whiz .  I believe that Fr.
