{"id":8004,"date":"2003-07-18T13:08:43","date_gmt":"2003-07-18T18:08:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2003\/07\/18\/anger-at-sarcastic-letter-from-headmaster\/"},"modified":"2003-07-18T13:08:43","modified_gmt":"2003-07-18T18:08:43","slug":"anger-at-sarcastic-letter-from-headmaster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2003\/07\/anger-at-sarcastic-letter-from-headmaster\/","title":{"rendered":"Anger at &#039;sarcastic&#039; letter from headmaster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"articles\">A HEADTEACHER stunned a pupil&#8217;s parents when he wrote a &#8220;sarcastic&#8221; letter telling them he would not be able to respond to their complaints for three years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">Michael Brennan, head of All Saints Roman Catholic High School in Rawtenstall, wrote to Billy and Linda Tompkins after they complained by e-mail that their son Mark was being unfairly treated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">Mr Brennan also told them that he &#8220;never reads&#8221; e-mails and suggested they send a letter to which he would decide &#8220;how or if&#8221; he responded. <\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">He wrote: &#8220;Our sole job is to educate and teach our pupils, not spend our time listening to complaining parents.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">He then told them not to &#8220;waste your time&#8221; complaining to Lancashire County Council or the education offices, known as the Globe. <\/p>\n<p class=\"articles\">He added: &#8220;They do not run this school.
