SAN DIEGO — Local law-enforcement officials say that a woman was robbed in a Logan Heights church Friday. <\/p>\n
The 65-year-old woman had more than $500 stolen out of her purse while she was in Christ the King Catholic Church on 32nd Street. The woman had taken the money out of the bank for a weekend trip, she told San Diego police.<\/p>\n
Authorities say that the thief entered the Logan Heights church around 10 a.m. and spoke briefly to the woman, asking her if she had any extra rosary beads. She told him she didn’t. Shortly afterward, the thief reached into her purse, took the money and ran out of the church.
