(CNSNews.com) – A pro-life group is warning that a popular song advocates
\nviolence against pregnant women.<\/p>\n
Black Americans for Life, an outreach of the National
\nRight to Life Committee, said the remixed version of singer Usher’s song "Confessions," featuring
\nrapper Joe Budden, suggests violent action against a mother when she is unwilling
\nto abort her child.<\/p>\n
"These lyrics are demeaning and outright violent toward both women and
\nunborn children," said Day Gardner, director of Black Americans for Life.<\/p>\n
"It is appalling to suggest that a man attack a woman to cause the death
\nof her unborn child. As women and as mothers, we simply cannot allow ourselves
\nor our unborn children to be treated as objects of such abuse," Gardner
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The song includes lyrics such as:<\/p>\n
"….Pray that she abort that,
\nIf she’s talkin’ ’bout keeping’ it,
\nOne hit to the stomach,
\nShe’s leakin’ it…"<\/p>\n
