I think it goes a lot further than just that. When the Church issued via the CDF <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/roman_curia\/congregations\/cfaith\/documents\/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20030731_homosexual-unions_en.html\">Considerations regarding proposals to give legal recognition to unions between homosexual persons<\/a> there was a massive outcry in the media about homophobia. Yet when the Dalai Lama called homosexual activity &quot;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.phayul.com\/news\/article.aspx?id=6639&#038;article=Dalai%2BLama%2Bresponds%2Bto%2Bquestions%2Bfrom%2BSun%2Breporter%2BDouglas%2BTodd&#038;t=1&#038;c=5\">sexual misconduct<\/a>&quot; and also condemned oral and anal sex there was zero outcry. There is also no demand that the next Dalai Lama should be a women or outcries that Buddhist monks should be allowed to be married.
