{"id":5938,"date":"2005-06-20T09:36:30","date_gmt":"2005-06-20T14:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2005\/06\/20\/dominican-sisters-of-mary-mother-of-the-eucharist\/"},"modified":"2005-06-20T09:36:30","modified_gmt":"2005-06-20T14:36:30","slug":"dominican-sisters-of-mary-mother-of-the-eucharist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2005\/06\/dominican-sisters-of-mary-mother-of-the-eucharist\/","title":{"rendered":"Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"blog\">From time to time I have documented some whacky orders of nuns and sometimes that included some Dominicans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sistersofmary.org\/graphics\/novicesinpond.jpg\" width=\"435\" height=\"244\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">These are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sistersofmary.org\/\"> Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist<\/a> in Ann Arbor, Michigan which in 1997 started with four sisters and currently has 47 sisters and  24 Novices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sistersofmary.org\/graphics\/novicecomputer.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"212\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">No not one of those infinitely recursive pictures but a groups of novitiates going through formation. This community formed around the Eucharist, prayer, and study is busting at the seams and is currently constructing a new Motherhouse to help house the growing numbers. They could have avoided these problems by doing what so many modern orders do. Just start practicing a creation spirituality, adopt a radical feminist agenda, and build a labyrinth or two and in no time they not only would have to worry about a crowded community, but could start to rent out rooms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From time to time I have documented some whacky orders of nuns and sometimes that included some Dominicans.
