{"id":4069,"date":"2006-12-23T17:12:40","date_gmt":"2006-12-23T22:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2006\/12\/23\/drive-by-baptism\/"},"modified":"2006-12-23T17:12:40","modified_gmt":"2006-12-23T22:12:40","slug":"drive-by-baptism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2006\/12\/drive-by-baptism\/","title":{"rendered":"Drive By Baptism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"bi\">A Parish priest in Kamuli recently sent his flock in bewilderment when he baptised over 80 children at the roadside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">Trouble started when the catechists failed to oblige to his prior instruction of dividing the children in groups (obubondo) of 20, in a bid to accumulate more funds from the expected 15,000 per kabondo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">Enraged by the loss, the priest removed his robes and left the church, entered his car and drove off.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">He stopped a distance of four miles from the church after the parishioners rang him pleading with him to carry out the baptism.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bi\">He ordered them to take the children to where he had parked, and from his car, sprinkled jets of water on them and left, punctuating his exit with insults.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/stories\/200612230176.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/article.png\" width=\"76\" height=\"26\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">Hopefully they will get their children to be actually baptized since surely a group baptism is invalid.
