George Rutler &#8211; EWTN speaker, Crisis magazine columnist, and reigning Catholic wit &#8211; offers his reflections on the coincidental links that connect the most far-flung parts of our worlds. I do love Fr. Rutler&#8217;s writing and his wit. One of my favorite biographies of a saint was his book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0898701805?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=thecurjes-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0898701805\">The Cure D&#8217;Ars Today: St John Vianney<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thecurjes-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0898701805\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>. Not too often do you get to really understand a saint and the historical background they lived in while at the same time laughing along the way with Fr. Rutler&#8217;s Chestertonian turns of phrase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">Reading Fr. Rutler&#8217;s column&#8217;s in Crisis I am always amazed by the number of people he has know and have often thought that you could whittle down the six degrees of separation with Kevin Bacon to 2 or three degrees of separation with Fr.
