Two women ordained as priests in a
\ndisputed ceremony Sunday have been issued summonses by St. Louis
\nArchbishop Raymond Burke demanding they appear before a church
\ntribunal…<\/p>\n

Elsie Hainz McGrath said she and Rose Marie Dunn Hudson do not plan to
\nshow up for the Dec. 3 hearing as ordered by the archbishop. “If I do
\ngo, it’s just going to cause a lot of grief and it’s not going to
\nchange anything,” McGrath said.<\/p>\n

She said she’s not sure what the repercussions will be but said the
\nletter makes it clear that the hearing would be their last chance to
\ndefend themselves…<\/p>\n

Often news stories on women’s
\nordination are framed around the idea of the brave women fighting
\nagainst the evillll male hierarchical church.  Yet when these
\ntwo brave women priests are called to defend their actions they run
\naway.
\n

Brave Priestesses ran
\naway.<\/span>

\nBravely ran away, away!<\/span>
\nWhen danger reared its
\nugly head,<\/span>

\nThey bravely turned
\ntheir tail and fled.<\/span>

\nYes, brave Priestesses
\nturned about<\/span>

\nAnd gallantly they
\nchickened out.<\/span>

\nBravely taking to their
\nfeet<\/span>

\nThey beat a very brave
\nretreat,<\/span>

\nBravest of the brave,
\nPriestesses!<\/p>\n
