Dawn Eden as part of The Cardinal
\nNewman Society<\/a> and in
\ncooperation with St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Worcester Diocese?s
\nRespect Life Office will be speaking.  This will be on the eve
\nof Holy Cross having a conference with representatives from Planned
\nParenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her talk, Miss Eden will detail
\nhow Church teachings on chastity offer a solution to not only the
\nproblem of teen pregnancy but also the wider problems of family
\nbreakdown — while abortion, contraception, and other
\n“solutions” offered by Planned Parenthood and their allies exacerbate
\nthose problems. She will also place the issue, in accordance with
\nChurch teachings, into the context of what steps Catholic colleges can
\nand should take to promote Catholic values on life, love and sexuality.<\/p>\n

This event is open to the public and The Cardinal Newman Society
\nencourages a strong showing of support for Bishop McManus?s principled
\nstand.<\/p>\n

Bishop McManus has been great on this
\nand there is some chance that he will act on the provision of Canon Law
\n808 in regard to the <\/span>university calling itself Catholic.<\/p>\n

Deal Hudson has some commentary<\/a> on this
\naspect and the history of the document signed in 1967 at the Land
\nO’Lakes Conference that set the stage for the false autonomy from the
\nChurch that is so prevalent. <\/span><\/p>\n
