Tag five people<\/p>\n<p>\nWell the nearest book is The Life of Thomas More by Peter Ackroyd and<br \/>\nthe sentences read.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article\">Carthusians and a famous Hall of St.<br \/>\nMary<br \/>\nwhich was filled with<br \/>\ntapestries emblazoned with the Virgin&#8217;s heavenly splendour.<br \/>\n&nbsp;At the time of More&#8217;s visit the city was seized by a<br \/>\nparticularly severe fit of Mariolotry , with a Franciscan monk<br \/>\npreaching<br \/>\nthe<br \/>\ngood news that whoever recited &#8220;psalterium beatae virginis&#8221; (by which<br \/>\nhe meant the rosary) each day could never be damned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">It is pretty interesting that out of the<br \/>\nwhole book which I really liked that this meme zeroed in on one series<br \/>\nof sentences that I didn&#8217;t quite agree with. &nbsp;This would be<br \/>\nconsidered Mariolotry&nbsp; if someone strictly believed that this<br \/>\ndevotional<br \/>\npractice on its own outside of Christ would lead someone to be saved.<br \/>\n&nbsp;This should be seen as a bit a hyperbole in that everyone who<br \/>\nis faithful to praying the Rosary as a devotional practice likely will<br \/>\nbe saved when there is a conformity of their prayer life to their<br \/>\nactions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">Well at least that is a bit more<br \/>\ninteresting than what was in the second closest book to me &#8220;Cocoa<br \/>\nprogramming for Mac OS X.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">If anybody want to joint in to this meme<br \/>\nin the comment box, fire away. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clayton tagged me with the Book Meme Rules. 1.
