{"id":2230,"date":"2009-06-21T11:42:22","date_gmt":"2009-06-21T16:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/2009\/06\/21\/witch-anger-at-catholic-club-ban\/"},"modified":"2009-06-21T11:42:22","modified_gmt":"2009-06-21T16:42:22","slug":"witch-anger-at-catholic-club-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.splendoroftruth.com\/curtjester\/2009\/06\/witch-anger-at-catholic-club-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"Witch anger at Catholic club ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article\">A witches&#8217; coven leader has accused the Roman Catholic Church of prejudice after her group was banned from a parish social club.<\/p>\n<p>Sandra Davis, 61, high priestess of the Crystal Cauldron group, booked Our Lady&#8217;s club in Stockport, Greater Manchester for a Halloween Ball.<\/p>\n<p>But when she tried to pay she was told the Diocese of Shrewsbury had decided the pagan group could not use it.<\/p>\n<p>A diocese spokesman said the group was not compatible with the club&#8217;s &#8220;ethos&#8221;.<br \/>\nMrs Davis, of Bridgehall, set up the Crystal Cauldron in Reddish as a pagan meeting place.<a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/uk_news\/england\/manchester\/8107260.stm\" target=\"_blank\">[reference]<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"blog\">The coven leader was really mad about this, in fact she was really burned up by the whole thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A witches&#8217; coven leader has accused the Roman Catholic Church of prejudice after her group was banned from a parish social club.
