When I first became convinced the Catholic Church was true, I approached the pastor of a downtown parish. He told me that since RCIA had already started, I would have to wait until the following year. So during that time of over a year, I was attending daily Mass with my wife as she would go up to receive Communion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I survived that ordeal despite totally believing in the Eucharist and longing for it. So been there – done that – and once again longing to receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh as far as Drama Queen goes, this afternoon I went to my parish Chapel and there was no-one there. Not a normal state of affairs. I knew the Eucharist would not be in a Monstrance, but that the Tabernacle would be there. I imagined myself as some kind of the last man on Earth since the parking lot was empty as was the chapel.
