The Curt Jester
A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind.

Known as "God's Jester" was a martyr for the faith and a man of wisdom, fun, tricks, poetry, song, and dance. Thus seemed an appropriate Patron Saint of this blog.

The words WOMBS FOR RENT will be used by historians to focus the open market of embryos, and how, the biggest genocide in history was performed with “Catholic Pro-Choice (murder)” lawmakers and organizations (as Catholics United, or in Alliance) being voted… heralding!!!!!! the Catholic name ,with consent of the USCCB.
Tremendous is their responsibility.
Yes, ONLY the USCCB is responsible to let the name Catholic used so, without excommunicating them.
Historians of Hitler's regime, remember the Holocaust principally, not the gay orgies of high ranking Nazis, or the genetic experiments of Dr. Mengele.
And all ask, how could this happen? In hiding.
Not hidden but openly in USA: the slaughtered die in an amiable, knowledgeable ambiance of much heralded “pro-choice” civility.
Oh yeah! 98 voted to save survivors. How relieving.
Still time for the Scranton bishop to excommunicate Biden!!!
I thought that the so-called Campaign Finance Reform law made it illegal for political TV ads to mention a candidate's name within either 30 or 60 days prior to an election, unless the ad is run by either the candidate or his opponent.
Was I misled on this? Or is this an internet-only ad?
Actually 527 groups (named after that part of the tax code) came about because of the idiotic McCain-Feingold law. These groups are exempt from it since they do not donate directly to a campaign or have members actively belonging to a campaign. The most famous 527 was of course the Swiftboat Veterans.
More to the point, historians -and history won’t forget- the ringing, much taunted & heralded “CAAAAAAAATHOLIC Sen. Biden”, here, there, there, so many times repeated by the Obaminator.
How can, those in the USCCB, sleep at night?
Y'know, the bishops try and try to persuade people like Biden, Pelosi, Whelan, Roth to come to their senses. Yet, those same people obstinately persist in promoting death while anointing themselves ardent Catholics. Pelosi and Biden are laughing at the bishops and faithful laity. Biden is a wolf, a death dealer - to permit him to receive Holy Communion is an affront to the Lord and all Catholics who suffer for the Faith. Shame on Biden and anyone who adopts his errors.
Warren:
“The bishops try and try to persuade”?
Sorry to disagree. Just think:
The point here is USCCB not excommunicating the scandalous, AS A MATTER OF SPIRITUAL HEALTH.
Nobody even asks, what situation we would have now, if they enforced the Canon 915 on those culprits YEARS AGO.
Nobody demands them publicly, to take responsibility? Beware! This is not a judgment, or inquisitorial fury for them not being publicly excommunicated, but a statement of FACTS:
1) Their being allowed to name themselves Catholic, is a walking-talking PUBLIC “SCANDAL, consisting of leading people to think that the public act that this person is doing, which until now everyone believed was a serious sin, is really not that serious” (Vatican Abp. Burke).
Plus, this scandal incites lay people into losing charity to the clergy.
2) Is not the above mentioned fact, going to lead millions of ignorant Catholic voters, into voting for the Infanticide Candidate?
3) This gross act of scandalous ingratitude to Rome by the USCCB, is discrediting and disgracing for Catholics world-wide.
Cordially
Jeff,
Thanks much for the explanation regarding 527s. I wasn't aware of all the ins and outs of campaign finance law, and I am VERY glad to hear that there actually is a way around that particular anti-free-speech provision of the McCain-Feingold law.
Great post! Gianna Jessen's story and life is amazingly inspiring. She is definitely a blessing.
Guillermo: I agree that it's scandalous for the USCCB to let pro-abortion politicians retain their status as Catholics. However, the USCCB also has to be prudent in not making martyrs out of these politicians. The majority of so-called Catholics that vote for these politicians are not practicing, and to excommunicate imprudently may separate these members from the Church as well since they might view the Church's actions as going overboard.
As I said before, the USCCB should excommunicate them, but I think that we should be charitable in determining why they haven't already.
Regards
It looks like Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing is using our pro-abortion, pro-ESCR governor Jennifer Granholm as a "teaching moment". I had no idea that she professed to be Catholic until she opened her big mouth about Proposal 2.
I'll trackback my post about it (if I can figure it out!)
Deazn:
“To excommunicate imprudently may separate these members from the Church”.
Prudence is the key word. When we asses the damage that pagans (or Cafeteria Catholics) are doing to us by being allowed to name themselves Catholic, the result is shocking.
The bishops don’t have the will to officially announce, clearly, forcefully, emphatically, and unambiguously that Catholics who claim to be pro-choice, and who stay unrepentant, have stepped outside the body of the Church!!!
And should no longer call themselves Catholic!
The appalling (AND IMPRUDENT) result: Most Catholics don't know that they can't be pro-choice because the bishops won't say it.
In fact, dozens of high profile "Catholic" politicians have shown us how they can climb to the top of the political ladder by being pro-choice.
Separate them? Point is: if not separated they corrupt us. Benedict XVI repeatedly pointed the need of a smaller, truer Church.
So, just imagine how historians will see the genocide in USA: DIRECT CONSECUENCE OF THE USSCCB not obeying Rome’s Law:
Having, procuring, supporting, assisting (that is: formal-direct lawmaking) an actual abortion is an AUTOMATIC EXCOMMUNICATION from the Church.
Or is not true that if enforced this law, no abortion lawmaker would be Catholic?
Best regards
Dean, as to the majority of these Catholics who vote pro-choice not practicing, I wish that were the case in the Northeast. Here, those very people are often catechists, extraordinary ministers, lectors, and even nuns. The church parking lots are full of Obama stickers. I hope and pray that none of our priests are not similarly deluded.
