Blog Update
I fixed a problem with my blog that appeared only in Internet Explorer 6. Some people are forced to use this browser in libraries or at work. If you are not being forced to use Internet Explorer 6 at least upgrade to IE 7, better yet to Firefox.
Luckily I was able to use VMWare Fusion on my Mac and load a fresh copy of Windows XP that had Internet Explorer 6 in it to track down the problem. It turned out that some images in the sidebar were a couple pixels larger than the width of the sidebar causing Internet Explorer 6's rendering engine to misplace the second column.

I use IE6 after I gloriously dumb the wretched IE7 (it's main problem is, after using it for a while it slows down your computer and the browser itself. Dunno why, there are many guessings).
I do have firefox, but I mainly use it to download youtube material(it's more convenient with firefox).
So the fix is refreshing.
And I advise people against using IE7. Trash it. If you uninstall IE7, then you will revert to your origina IE6 (at least for XP user like moi).
Jeff, I have tried updating blog subscription with Google Reader but I still get the old one. What am I doing wrong?

I recommend having a regular, up-to-date XP install and use a package called Multiple IEs. It has hacked standalone versions of IE dating back to 3.0. It's useful for testing browser stuff.
I can't wait until IE6 is a very VERY small part of the market (like IE5 or Netscape 4) so I can stop supporting it. Pretty much every site I build has an 'ie6_hacks.css' file that gets conditionally included. IE7 generally needs a little finagling, but not a whole lot. Anyone who does web development on anything other than Firefox is silly, or just hasn't been shown the power of the Firebug extension (particularly for AXAXy type stuff).

I was wondering what was wrong. Thanks for the fix! Unfortunately, I must use IE6 for the forseeable furture. I don't have a computer at home (can't afford one right now), so I use the one at work. It's so old and so slow that Firefox totally freezes it (I have to use the off button to restart it). Updates to programs I already use (like IE and iTunes) only slow it down even more. I've asked for a new computer but since I'm only the receptionist I'm all the way on the bottom of the priority list. I'll get a new one when this clunker completely dies. So I have to put up with IE6 and a host of other problems until I can afford a computer and an internet connection. It's kinda nice to be offline on nights and weekends so that's at the bottom of my priority list.
