I think it's wrong. I believe the Washington Times, not the Washington Post, is owned by Moon's church.
It is correct. (Although being "in bed with" may be a bit of an overstatement). The main point is a group called "Atlantic video" is the primary disseminator of USCCB media in a number of areas. It's owned directly by "News Media" which is owned by the Unification Church. There is no mention of the Washington Post, but the Washington times *is* a propaganda arm of the Moonies.
I'm sure the Bishops conference, and many of the customers are using what's seen as a premier video production house. It's legititimate to ask where the profits are going - and if there is any editorial control (either implicit, if not explicit). Can anyone say "conflict of interest"? An organization bent on religious indifferentism - who sees the Church as the Enemy of such - is in charge of delivering the Bishops' conference materials - even producing them.
It was also interesting to note that the "source" of much of the pool news used by news organizations - UPI - is also fully owned by the Moonies.
Is it possible they didn't know?
"is it possible they didnt know" - I would think so. If one does the research the USCCB doesnt do any real investigating when it comes to most anything.
