Thanks for posting this video, Jeff. IF this law passes, there will be no restrictions on any type of abortions by anyone, anywhere, and even Catholic hospitals will be fored to perform them or close their doors. It would enforce a virtual pro-abortion police state reminiscent of "1984". New Yorkers MUST defeat this, or it will spread like a cancer to other states, and overturning Roe v Wade will be moot.

Audrey~
I may need some clarification here, but are you saying that the convenience/inconvenience to your life is more important than whether a person lives or dies? That the life or death of another person is insignificant compared to the inconvenience that you may experience? And if yes, then I really don't think you do "see how people would be upset" about ending a life.

Absolutely. And a person can consider that when they make the choice to have sex or not. That is the point at which the choice should be exercised. Not at the point when a person is having to determine whether or not to end someone's life.

Audrey pregnant describes what you are not the person that is growing inside of you; he/she is called a person. I suppose it makes it easier to kill him/her if we say we just terminated a pregnancy. The decision to bring a child into this world has already been made once you have sex that is why it belongs in the context of marriage. If you do not want to bring a child into this world than do not have sex. It is that simple.

You believe that people should have a choice. What about the unborn person's choice that he/she doesn't get to make? Why do you and others get to decide whose life is worth living? Isn't that what the Nazis did?

You should give this issue a little more honest thought. Peace

mr. miller,

I would like to let you know that im a fourteen year old, I attend a catholic high school and my political and religious beliefs are in a constant battle with each other, I stumbled upon this online forum in hopes to find open conversation with open-minded people. Im sorry if my beleifs or arguments offended you or any of the posters on this site I was merely hoping for some clarification on these issues.

my apoligies,

audrey

I'm glad that you are here, Audrey. Please keep
contributing to this forum. It is impressive to see a young person sincerely seeking clarification of the truth which the Church teaches, which is a life-long quest for all of us.

The Curt Jester

A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind.

My conversion story

Email Me:

Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J.

Known as "God's Jester" was a martyr for the faith and a man of wisdom, fun, tricks, poetry, song, and dance. Thus seemed an appropriate Patron Saint of this blog.
