Happy Advent!

Two years ago I decided to create my own Advent Wreath graphic instead of just using the normal animated gif that I used previously. If you would like it for your own blog you can use the html code below which uses some homepage server space that won't effect the bandwidth for my blog. I will replace the graphic each week so that it correctly shows the number of candles that should be lit. On Christmas I will change it to another graphic I created for Christmastide.

Additionally underneath my Advent graphic on my left side I have created a JavaScript that gives a countdown to Christmas. If you want to do the same thing you can insert this script into your blog template with the following code underneath where you place the graphic. Though WordPress.com users would be out of luck since they don't allow JavaScript.

Thanks, Jeff! I've been waiting for this!

A blessed New Year to you and your zillions o' readers!

Jeff, thank you so much, it's up on my blog right now. Guess I had better get busy updating my blog articles, been way too busy with other things. Merry Christmas.

Very nice graphic! Thank you for making this available!

Thank you for the wonderful graphic!

I would love to add the advent wreath to our family blog. I am new at this and am not sure what additional element to add to accomplish this. We use "blogspot.com"

Thanks

Thanks for the great wreath! I found you through SFO Mom's site.

That's great. Thanks very much.

Thanks! And this year I even know how to use it!

Hi there Cyrus. You make me so happy to be able to tell a fellow blogger how to do something because I am rather non-tech. But here goes. Log in to your blog, go to layout (template). You should find the add a page element and choose the HTML/Java Script and paste the first code in there. Put in a return or two. Then get the second code and paste that underneath the first. At the top of your screen you will see a little box that says title on it. You could put a title there if you want. Then accept your changes and I always do a save at the top right of the screen as well. Then just view your blog to see what a nice job you did -- all thanks to Jeff.

Thanks so much! I found a jpeg with different advent candles lit but yours is much better1 Thanks so much! Wishing you a joy filled Advent!

I have looked forward to having this available to the members of St. Blog's. It is a testimony to your creativity and your generosity. Thank you for sharing both with us.

Thanks, Jeff! I've added the wreath to my parish's web site.

Thank you. They appear immediately on my blog.

Muchas gracias por su corona de Adviento. Me tomé la libertad de copiarla. Es Ud. bienvenido a nuestro blog familiar.

Thanks Jeff! Nicely done.

Thanks, Jeff! I don't usually put a lot of stuff on our sidebar(mainly because I don't have the time and well, monasteries keep things simple...or try to) but Advent is more and more becoming a lost season that I think your lovely wreath is important.
I unlock our chapel door each morning and the other day I was opening it and a bit down the street is a very fancy hotel. It was all lit up with Christmas lights and I thought, "How strange; I wonder what is going on over there!"
I'd actually forgotten that out in the "world" Christmas started at Halloween! One more reason I thank the Lord for being in the monastery! :-)

Thanks, Jeff. I really enjoyed this last year, and I appreciate you making it available again this year. Advent blessings to you!

Thanks. What a service to the blogging community!

Jeff,

Great graphics.

Got it up and running already.

In Jesus, Mary, & Joseph,

Tito

Thanks!! I've been looking for something like this.

Thank you for making this available. Beautiful!

Oh, very nice! Thank you. It's up on my family site.
