Deception

Pro-life groups are protesting the new Planned Parenthood clinic that tried to disguise itself by getting building permits in the name of the Gemini Health Center. Though deception is just part of the territory when it comes to Planned Parenthood in the first place.

"The anti-choice extremists have started already with a fairly consistent presence [at the Aurora site] -- not a big presence, but they started their 40-day vigil," she said by phone. "We've started getting phone calls from people asking, 'Are you going to do something?' The pro-choice side needs to be visible."

Planned Parenthood said in a statement that it offers a bulwark against sexually transmitted diseases and other health problems that are growing in DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will Counties. Steve Trombley, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area, said that more than 90 percent of its services have to do with reproductive health care, not abortion, and that the clinic is opening because of local demand.

So people praying for 40 days in front of an abortion clinic is the new extremism. Yes a 40 day vigil must be countered - maybe they will start an anti-vigil to Moloch.

Their second argument is even stranger. "Only ten percent of the food I serve contains cyanide" would not be an effective argument for a restaurant.

While people can differ on abortion, the place to debate is not in front of clinics, Trombley said.

"The place to have that argument is in the legislature and in the courts," he said. "And we think that holds true for both sides of that debate."

In that case how dare he debate in a newspaper article instead of the legislature and the courts. I wonder if he would have told Rosa Parks to take her case to the legislature instead?

PP's "reproductive health care" includes very-early-term chemical abortion, which they describe as "emergency contraception". If those were included, the percentage of reported abortions would rise. Cafeteria types notwithstanding, the Church has taught and still teaches that any form of contraception is morally objectionable.

As one of the, um, "anti-choice extremists" who works for the Pro-Life Action League -- the group that's spearheading this 40-day vigil in Aurora -- allow me to thank you for bringing attention to it and to the ridiculous opposition we've been facing and will continue to face for the foreseeable future.

Ah, and the IL Legislature is not exactly open for debate on teh subject, so we do what we can until it is! Thanks for posting this, it those of us who have been out there often appreciate it!

Bless you John! Bless you Deb! Bless you! Bless You! Our hearts and prayers are with you, so fight the good fight!!

How perverse it is that PP wants us to go someplace ELSE and quietly debate politics as they go about the business of killing persons! Maybe if we showcased a Teletubbies-like video, they'd get it?
Baby. Baby in the womb. Baby out of the womb. In the womb. Out of the womb. Baby. Living person. Baby. Baby outside of Planned Parenthood. Living baby. Baby in Planned Parenthood. Dead baby.
Etc.

"But look at all the other things we do!"

Less than 10% of Ted Bundy's activities involved bludgeoning college coeds or strangling schoolgirls. In fact, Ted once rescued a toddler from drowning, and he saved many lives working a suicide hotline.

But you'd still be a fool to want him for a neighbor or to ask him to watch your kids....

Good point, Christina! And what about the average murderers in prison? MOST of them "only" killed one person. Which means that they spent 99.9999...percent of their lives not killing anyone, as well.
But how dare we associate abortion with (gasp!) killing? Just because a person goes in alive and comes out dead? We should be concerned with more important things, like civilized, invisible, silent protests.

From what source (newspaper?) did PP's comments come?

Rosa Parks was committed to what she believed and had the courage to take a personal stand to help achieve racial equality.

For Kirk:

My question to PP is:

What's being reproduced?

How does what they do help or promote reproductive health?

How many sex offenders who brought in minors have they reported in the Chicago area?

Planned Parenthood's argument that they provide valuable and necessary services other than abortion, makes me wonder whether it might not be true that the Ku Klux Klan, with its efforts to increase voter registration among the public, may not also be an organization doing valuable and worthy work.

Also the presence of the Mafia cleared the streets of random thugs preying on small shopkeepers and innocent little old ladies. Many small business owners loved and supported the Mafia for the services they provided.

P.S.

Adding on to the above thought:

If you say that you don't support organized crime in this country, then what you're "really" saying is that you're glad those three college students were attacked and killed in the streets in Newark last week.

Because in the days when organized crime bosses ran much of our city streets, such "independent operators" would never have dared attack the students. They would realize that the attendant publicity would have been "bad for business" for the mob bosses, and that in the wake of the murders, the mob would have come after them.

So there you have it.

You're either in favor of the Cosa Nostra, or else you have signed those students' death warrants!

See how it works?

It's laughable that Mr. Trombley mentions the legislature. If anyone has tried to get the abortion issue out of the legislature and into the courts, it's been the pro-abortion side!

Here's a link for information for all those of you in the Chicagoland area on this Saturday that would like to attend. The rally is from 9-11 a.m. Here's the link: http://www.prolifeaction.org/#aug25

Thanks for publishing this great article Jeff.

Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing the same bull from PP and their advocates? Can't they come up with any new ideas?

Yes the Greek Captcha is a joke
