...The Rev. Dean Dombroski felt differently, removing her from the choir loft just before Thanksgiving and gradually taking away other church duties. Servais can no longer take pictures during First Communion services or lead the committee planning St. Joseph's annual late-summer picnic.
Dombroski said he couldn't discuss the situation because it involves personnel. But in a letter to his rural congregation, he wrote: "Linette is a consultant for a firm which sells products of a sexual nature that are not consistent with Church teachings. Because parish leaders are expected to model the teaching of our faith ... she could stay on as the choir director/organist or she could continue to be a consultant but she could not do both."

What a tacky heading for the article!
1. When God sends a gift of comedy to the headline writers, they would be ungrateful did they not take it.
2. You should be grateful the church had an organ and not just a piano.
3. The joke is actually a near-perfect argument in favor of the church's decision. (A bit of Theology of the Body would be nice here; but you can't have everything.)

Massive sympathetic coverage by all three Milwaukee TV stations last night...and that town is WAY, WAY, WAY out of their broadcast orbits.
I've heard these sorts of distasteful Tupperware parties are pretty popular, even among people who say they're good Christians. I wonder if that's why the pastor is getting such guff.
I wonder if they'd give him the same guff if it were a guy selling products to guys? Or a guy selling products to promote SSA sex?
