It's SUPER ZUCCHETTO!

"Ach, the press is going to have a field day! Who knew Versace made umbrellas?"

"Ach, the press is going to have a field day! Who knew Versace made umbrellas?"

"Ach, the press is going to have a field day! Who knew Versace made umbrellas?"

He certainly knows how to stand out.

While trying to teach the catholicity of the Church, the Holy Father uses an umbrella as a metaphor. He is ultimately unsuccessful, however, because of all the other umbrellas people decide to use.

"I'm blessing in the rain, just blessing in the rain!"

Pope Benedict responds to those who believe he looks like the Emperor in "Star Wars" by showing off his Penguin impression from "Batman".

Accused of having a big head since his election, Pope Benedict takes umbrage, claiming that if this were so he would require an extra large zucchetto skull cap: one such as he holds aloft for the crowd.

It's raining PRIESTS! Alleulia! It's raining PRIESTS...oh yeayeayyea!

Fr. Philip, OP

Until this time, I have never ever seen a white umbrella!

The Holy Spirit, in the form of an umbrella, descended over the Holy Father. A voice from heaven rang out: "This is my beloved vicar, in whom my Father is well pleased."

Our Papa--the original P-Diddy?

Rather than pray that the rain stop just before hitting his head, the Holy Father demonstrates that grace perfects nature (rather than obliterating it) through the use of a simple umbrella.

My mind has been dulled. All I can think of is a vague reference to The Prisoner and #6 using an umbrella to signal his partners in trying to escape...but I can't name the episode or give a line from the script. Long day.

Our God rains!

"Just a spoonful of Latin helps the Liturgy rise up,
The Liturgy rise up, the Liturgy rise up,
Just a spoonful of Latin helps the Liturgy rise up,
In the most delightful way!"

The Holy Father uses a visual aid in a recent Pro-Life speech in which he contrasted the "seamless garment" with the "big tent."

One Umbrella to beat them all,
One Pope to find them,
One Pope to bring them all and in the True Faith (loose and) bind them.

Even tho the sound of it is something quite atrocious
Say it magisterially, you'll always sound precocious!

Please stay with the group! Follow the white umbrella...This way to the Vatican Museum.

The "Mary Poppins" parody posts are hilarious! Wish I were that imaginative!

Only those with yellow hats that gather under my umprella can get a plenary indulgence, all others will just get a wave.

Where's Papa?

Yes the Greek Captcha is a joke

The Curt Jester

A former atheist who after spending forty years in the wilderness finds himself with both astonishment and joy a member of the Catholic Church. This blog presents my hopefully humorous and sometimes serious take on things religious, political, and whatever else crosses my mind.

Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J.

Known as "God's Jester" was a martyr for the faith and a man of wisdom, fun, tricks, poetry, song, and dance. Thus seemed an appropriate Patron Saint of this blog.
