Pro-abortion plates

Florida is so much in the abortion news these days. Now comes word the Orlando National Organization for Women has chosen the design for a pro-abortion plate to counter what NOW calls the "notorious" and wildly successful Choose Life plate.

(231,608 Florida Choose Life plates have been sold in the seven years it has been available, earning almost $5 million toward adoption support. It currently ranks eighth out of 120 FL specialty plates.)

The pro-abortion plate is entitled, "United for Choice." Its illustration shows a baby star shooting heavenward from inside the mommy star, pathetic and disgusting.

I can think of many other captions for a pro-abortion specialty license plate. How about you?

I do find it rather interesting of the seeming religious component of the baby star shooting heavenward. Do products of conception, tissue masses, non-humans, etc go to Heaven by their understanding? But the graphic obfuscation goes right along with the linguistic gymnastics used like 'choice' to say something without invoking the reality of what you are supporting. Though I am surprised they didn't select a slogan like "Choose Choice" I will be curious as to how many people actualy choose such a plate. The Choose Life plates are fairly common and I am always glad to see a high percentage of them in church parking lots, hopefully I won't see any of the new ones there.

Here are some of the pro-abortion plates that didn't get selected.

Another great post, Jeff...

I've never understood why they would ever object to "Choose Life"?? I mean, it's acknowledging that there is a choice. What it's saying is, "okay, you win, under the (secular) law it's a choice, consider making the choice for life"

Jeff, I have added a plate of my own. Well done.

Gives new meaning to the term 'license' plate, doesn't it? Hey maybe a blank license should represent 'choice'...

Ever since the Choose Life plates came out, I have wondered how long it would be until the pro-death plates were offered. However, I expected that the motto would be: It's just a lump of tissue.

Jeff, you are the king of Photoshop: Curial Edition!

Jeff this one's HILARIOUS!!! I'm not laughing at the fact that all the babies have been murdered. I'm laughing at the fact how ironic it is that they want to celebrate the choice of murder on license plates, and how your plates sum up the abortion industry.

Now with the actual plate: I wonder if the little star person survived the abortion - I mean choice?

The Choose Death plate and the "Cut Above" expose pro-abortionists and make a mockery of them at the same time... that's what I like to see! I'm proud to boast that in my country we don't have RU-486, but the only reason for the ban is that a woman died from it during trials, not because of the number of embryonic children who died from it.

Well done!
The star design is the newest slogan of the Culture of Death: "if you love something (like your unborn child) set it free!" This poster was seen on the ceiling of the death chamber of an abortion mill for the women to read during the procedure. Sick!

Eewwww! I'm gonna have to blog about that one!

I realized that there are two ways to interpret it:

Either the one baby star getting aborted and flying up to Heaven, or the three aborted baby stars flying up to Heaven and the one lucky "chosen" baby she allowed to gestate.

Unconscious, or deliberate symbolism? Either way, once it's pointed out to you it's unmistakable.

I'm utterly flabbergasted by the image on that license plate. What it looks like to me is that there's only one baby star, and that it's flying up and out, as represented by the receding stars. But still, that's...flabbergasting.

I'm suspecting a trend. At first, pro-abortionists argued that the fetus is not a human being. Now, we have progressed to the point that many concede it's a human being, but they argue that doesn't outweigh the mother's choice. It's a scary downhill trend, symbolized well by that license plate.

Yes the Greek Captcha is a joke
