Why This Catholic Game Is Ideal for Fun and Learning at Home and Church -   Catholic-opoly is a Catholic game that brings families together in a fun, interactive setting.  Parents and children can enjoy wholesome, engaging entertainment while learning about the history and growth of the Catholic church.  It is an ideal family activity or an enjoyable Catholic game to play at other times.  Create involvement together using Catholic-opoly at other activities at church as well.  There are a variety of Catholic game activities and versions of this game that will make it suitable for a wide variety of occasions.

No this isn't one of my parodies, but an actual game available at catholic-opoly.com.  My board game parody was called Episcopacy.

Considering the premise of the game Catholic-opoly® of building new Churches and Cathedrals to spread the faith, there are many diocese that would just plain suck at this game. A more real version of the game would have you instead of building new churches would have you consolidating them instead and Community Service cards would include sit-ins and protests of church closings.

That last paragraph hit WAY too close to home. You must be describing my diocese.

You got me, Mr. Jeff. :-D

One question though. Will your game parodies have an expansion set? Cause if they are real, I'd like to buy them along with this one (considering that I have money :-D)

I wonder if it has a "Chance" card reading: "Your church has been wreckovated by Fr. Richard Vosko. Go to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200."

Oh brother. I've seen "Kosherland" a Jewish Candy-land in the paper this morning. If you ask me this is just plain silly, both in religious board games (no doubt the Zen one is just an empty box) and in the endless Monopoly variations. Well, if it helps young people get back to church, (or whatever) all power to it; it can't possibly be worse than the Left Behind Video Game.
Question: Does the little dog carry a miter? Is the little car the Popemobile? Is the thimble now a chalice? Is jail Purgatory now? We used to argue over who got to be what half the time.

As for Buddhist boardgames:

The Zen one would be chockfull of Community Cards to help players achieve Nirvana through Deeds,

The Pure Land one would be the opposite, carrying a larger amount of Faith cards saying faith in the Buddha is sufficient,

And the Nichiren one would claim the other Buddhist boardgames are false, instead of leading people to enlightenment they bring people to the path of ruin while proclaiming itself as the true path.

Expect these boardgames to say nothing is permanent, everything is an illusion, etc. The box would contain gaming boards that decompose with every play, a symbol of impermanence. Now if your boardgame is rotten completely, depending on its karma, it might get reborn in one of the six realms/become enlightened. :-D

Now the question is what would the Islamic boardgame would look like.

We really have this game! My brother once sneered at it, saying, "Catholicopoly, oh, brother! For you guys, everything has to have a Catholic slant!"
He's finally getting it!

Yes the Greek Captcha is a joke
