A voters guide abortionists would like

Comment(s) (4)

Rich Leonardi has an excellent post on the document that provides obfuscation and cover for pro-abortion politicians called "Voting for the Common Good." It is of course no surprise that this document put out "Catholic in Alliance for the Common Good" (CACG) a group headed up by Alexia Kelley who in 2004 worked as a religion advisor to John Kerry in the closing weeks of his campaign.

Now it is quite understandable why such a voting guide would be put out to counteract the Voters Guide For Serious Catholics put out by Catholic Answers. That voters guide was written by Jimmy Akin and it certainly bears the stamp of his work. What I like most about Jimmy is that he is extremely careful in the statements he makes. When he states a position of the Church you can be sure that it is truly what the Church teaches and not an admixture of his own opinion. He is very careful in not making statements say more than they truly do. The same can not be said for whoever is the author of this new voter's guide that is not a representation of Catholic teaching, but pure spin.

I am considering legal action against CAGC, since their voters guide surely got inspiration from my "Voters Guide for Cafeteria Catholics."

Catholic Answers had legal action threatened against them...and their guide was squarely within the letter of the law. It just goes to show the relative lack of tolerance the liberals have for conservatives.

The facts about Alexia Kelley are not accurate. You bloggers should get your facts straight rather than rely on press releases and other blog posts before you go and post information that is not accurate. Also - what are your credentials for speaking on Church Teachings? Who are you?

Catholic Answers voting guide is based on bad theology and that is why it is dismissed by the Church and IRS action was threatend. It is simply a partisan guide and they are a tool for Karl Rove - apparently just like this blog.

Serious Catholic,

Speaking of getting your facts straight how about the charge that Catholic Answer's voting guide was dismissed by the Church. For one the Vatican does not comment on voting guides. The USCCB also never made no statement on the guide. In fact there was no official statement from any bishop on the guide. If there are than back up your assertion with a link. This is a charge I have heard pro-abortion Catholics make before and when I challenged them they provided nothing in response.

Catholic Answers voting guide was also vetted by lawyers expert on the IRS. There was a complaint filed to the IRS. It was filed by Catholics for a free choice the pro-abortion, pro-contraception fake catholic group. No action was taken by the IRS in response to this charge.

So talking about getting facts straight, make sure you get some from people who aren't pro-baby killing.

Would you also like to detail the bad theology you claim is in the guide.

Again - get your facts straight on Alexia Kelley. Why dodge the issue? Confirm that she was employed by the Kerry Campaign or remove the comment from your blog. Speaking of Legal action, since you bring it up in your entry. Ever hear of slander? hmmm ...Would be interesting to see what would happen. Trust me - nobody would be inspired by a bottom feeding blog such as yours and the two people who have read your guide. However you are on the net and people can search. It is disturbing they may find your site and all the dissent here in.

Bad Theology - then you point out where in Catholic Teaching that 5 non negoiables exist.

And in 2004 the USCCB Lawyers questioned the CA guide. The Bishops overall where embarressed by it, and thank God that a majority of Parish Priests are banning the illicit guide from their parishes.

The Catholic Faith is a positive uplifting faith with many issues - do not try to co-opt it with your divisive political dissenting agenda. The Catholic Faith is not all about Abortion (maybe for you), and it is not about the left or the right. The Pope is not a republican and I know that may be hard for you to understand.

Again - I ask - what are your credentials to speak to the matters of the Catholic Faith. Who are you? Shall we start digging deeper? hmm?

Yes the Greek Captcha is a joke
